Sunday~!
Well today is Sunday and that means the week is over or just beginning, totally depends on the person's perspective. So for me this is the beginning of the week, and so I have survived another week, with two days of traveling and I must commend myself for being strict! I was able to survive the road trip and stay away from the "junk" food so to speak! I eat salads and steered away from the fired greasy foods! "GO ME"! So how did you survive the week? Were you able to steer away from the food demons following you around? I know it very hard to make good food choices when we have SOOOOOOOOOO many wonderful food items we can choose from.
If you are following the Low Carb/High fat process were able to keep you carbs under 100, 75,50, or the best number 20 per day? How many fully understand the Low carb/high fat program, and how this helps you trick your body into burning the stored fat? This process puts your body into "KETO" burning mode and will begin to target the fat cells thus causing the immediate weigh loss and once you begin this process and continue to follow the low carb process your body will continue to stay in "KETO" mode and continue to burn the stored fat. You may seem hungry at first that is your body's way of saying "yea" something is different and if you eat some "protein" or "fiber" check the carb count....this will help you to feel full or fuller longer!
When reading the labels remember to check the total number of carbs and the total number of sugar content. The sugar is the item that will slow down or stop your "KETO" mode from burning your stored fat". This I learned from the "DR"! There are many food choices you can eat and still maintain your carb count for the day. When you feel like munching-----choice celery stalks and apply a little cream cheese/peanut butter in moderation...this process makes you feel like you are eating "chips", and you are still maintaining good eating habits.
For the sugar tooth make "sugar free" jello lots of it and purchase some "Cool Whip" and not the light cool but the real deal! And add this to your jello and go to town! There are many recipes for cakes, juices and other sweet tooth foods that will satisfy your craving! The important thing to remember is not to fall back into the path of "junk" food for one day or two days, as this will pull your body out of "KETO" Mode and then you must begin over.
I wish you well on your journey of food choices and or diet choices you decide to follow! Each person's body is different and what may work for you might not work for all! Just remember WE all must be true to the path we choose to follow and must stick to our regimen of eating properly.
Dr. Atkins program does allow for fruit in moderation! My Dr. does not allow fruit as it is high in sugar and is "Natures' Candy! Just keep that in mind in when eating an apple/orange or such! Count that has your carb for the day!
Good luck to you all!'

Saturday~
Hello Family and Friends!
Well today is Saturday, I know all day long!, and what a day it has been thus far!. So many things going on and so many things changing within my life circle and trying to balance all is just a mild understatement. First and foremost I am very excited to be moving back to Wilmington and hopefully reconnect with some friends, and be able to enjoy life away from home!
How is everyone doing with his/her life balance and are you finding struggles to be strong and if you are not able to be strong are you able to move past the struggle and jump back on board with the goal you have set for yourself? Remember each day is a new beginning and chapter for you to write and make any necessary changes!
For me I was in Wilmington this past week and noticed myself in the "MIRROR" and let me just say I was not happy with the reflection looking back at ME! SO when I returned home to Raleigh, I recommitted myself to getting back on track with reaching my goal! OH YEAH!!! I know you are saying yes, we have heard that before. WELL TH IS TIME is has to be spot on. First I purchased new clothes and I absolutely refuse to buy another new wardrobe that must be larger in size! That is just pure craziness for all the hard work I have done thus far!
A good motivator for me was my "MOM" had a pair of pants on her bed that were way to big for her, so I tried them and low and behold they fit me! OH YEAH! So now I am back to eating 20 carbs per day and walking my 2 miles, and doing some swimming until we move. Our new place will have a pool however; they are in the middle of construction so I am not sure when the "new pool" will be open for swimming this summer. Exercising can come in any form as long as you are using your muscles and burning and energy!
I certainly hope you all find peace with the choices you have made and are going to make! Just remember take one step at time and if you have too, one hour at a time. This helps to decrease your anxiety about beginning this new life journey! One-day at at time is motto you should include your daily mantra! Remember I am here to listen and offer you guidance from personal experience!
God Speed!

Weekly Review~!
Good evening friends and family!
Well this week has a been a whirlwind! There are so many things to write about and not sure where to begin and with what to begin with! LOL! Well everyone knows our first thing to think about is our food choices and how these choices affect day to day processes! I know what you are thinking---what is talking about how does our food choices affect our daily processes? Well; when you stop and think about it. When you wake up in the morning and you are "Grumpy" 'what is first thing most want to do?', most will want to have a quick cup of coffee and definitely NO conversation! Secondly, this mood then defines the food choices you want to make.....I know you know that I am RIGHT! "chuckling silently", so from that point on you have decided to eat anything and everything in site.
Well, we must learn to break this bad habit, when we wake up in a bad mood! What are some things you might do to help you quickly overcome this bad mood, so that it does not destroy your whole day. WE all have days where we do not want to be bothered and we most certainly do not want to be nice to others! YEP, YEP, YEP! I so understand what you are totally saying right now! LOL!
Well this week has been very hectic, with road travel, as this affects your ability to eat what you normally do when you are home? SO how do you overcome the road travel food choices. That can be sometimes a challenge since "restaurant are very easy to drive into and order the biggest fattest cheeseburger, french fries and such!", SO I know you are asking; how do we not order this type of food and eat more healthy. Most restaurants do sell salads, and fresh fruit if you have not given up fruit as part of your low-carb diet. Breaking the change of choice is the hardest part most are facing when having a bad day.
My Dr. told me in order to succeed you have to make the change and stick to the change and this takes time and will then become habit forming. SO when you have a bad in place of that "Cheeseburger-fry" combo, you will then begin to choose the "salad-fruit" combo and once you do this you will thus begin to see changes in how you feel mentally and physically! IT really does work.
I know you are asking how did I survive the road trip! Well to be perfectly honest not well, I eat things that were not allowed on my food program and I can tell you that I felt different for the past few days, My thought process is much slower when I eat carbs, and my desire to work out slows down as well!
What are some of things you do to help overcome making bad choices on daily or weekly basis?
Remember I am here to listen and help to the best of my ability in helping you to begin in taking the first step and together we both will succeed!
God Speed!

New Day & New Chapter~!
Hello to all my fellow readers!
Remember each day is new beginning and new chapter to be written by you! "YES" you are the author of your daily chapter, you get to decide what you are going to write about on a daily basis! I do you hope you make a good chapter!
My chapter is about change and how change can affect the major decisions in your life. These decisions affect how you process your day and this process also affects the food choices we make! SO if you are ready to begin this new chapter with me "JUMP ON BOARD" the wagon train! LOL How many watched that show as child? I know right! Life was so easy back then or so we thought!
SO in our chapter for today, it has been a struggle with the food choices, and I have to say I did not win over the injustice of weight loss today! BUT you know that is OK; as I said earlier each day is new beginning and new chapter, REMEMBER to let go and move on! I truly believe that what hinders those during the battle of weight loss, is the fear of the unknown and what lies on the other side of the mountain, lake, stream or train! YEP, you each have a fear and this fear is holding you back! Once you break the sound barrier you will be amazed at how far you can go and what you can accomplish on the battle field!
YES, losing weight is battle field and the struggle with this war is real! I have learned during my journey I am my own worst enemy and how many feel the same way or better yet have not come to this realization? THAT is okay if you are not there yet, the day will come and you will be like "OMG" the light bulb is now the brightest star on the tree! YEP, YEP, YEP!
The night is young for some and just the beginning for your new chapter! and the night is ending for those who have finished his/her chapter and putting the ending to bed! SO, I bid you fond farewell, and good night sleep, and I trust your new chapter tomorrow will bring you closer to winning the war the against the injustice of weight loss and/or the demons you are fighting!

Eating Habits
Welcome to those that have stopped by to read!
Today our focus is on eating habits. What you say "eating habits"! Yes, our eating habits are first taught to us by our "parents" and most times our Mom! SO we then begin to process what kind of eating habits we are going to begin making---right! How many play the blame game on his/her family for the food choices you make? How children and adults do we see that are abundantly overweight! "And secondly do we judge them?", for the poor choices "WE" feel they are making?
The questions we must ask ourselves first of all "WHO" are we sit in judgement of "OTHERS" and the choices they may make, albeit---food, drinks, life choices, social engagements and work? If we are too busy judging others, how then are we able to take care of ourselves and the choices we must make for our lives? HOW, many depend on us for being the sole being of his/her universe? SO, if we sit in judgement of others, are we be truly faithful to ourselves and the choices we are making!
I WOULD have to say "NOT"! I know that I have not made some of the best food choices over the past few months, and this has lead me to be delinquent with my writing responsibility to my readers an fans who follow what I write about and they may take to heart the thoughts and words that are solely my own! IS that fair to them "NO", and it is not fair to myself either!
WE all the know the saying' that with age comes "WISDOM", and with "WISDOM" comes the possibility of making better decisions for our lives and loved ones----I know you are thinking she is going to say "YES"!, well you are wrong!, for some we may make--- worse decisions as we age, and for some we may make better decisions....albeit "WHO" are we judge if that is a good decision or a bad decision? WE---should only be focusing on ourselves and the decisions we need to make to survive and learn from!!
SO after grow up and move out and/or away from our childhood home, we become responsible for the choices we make with our eating and life choices at the same time! THE question for you today is "DO YOU FEEL GOOD WITH THE CHOICES YOU HAVE MADE? This can be about your life choices, your food choices, your school choices and just life in general? Remember their is no right or wrong answer to the question! Only self satisfaction with the choices you made!
I am satisfied with the last choice I made and the decision to take back control of my life and work towards the goal I HAVE set for myself! If I fail I can only blame myself and the not surroundings and or situations that follow!
God Speed!
