Good Afternoon Family and Friends!
Many of you are facing the wintery weather, and I am hoping you all are safe and warm. Today is Saturday and the majority of the day has come and is now heading towards the late night evening. So with that being said, I do hope you all were able to make some great food choices for the wintery weather. Time is counting down for my next weigh-in and I was going down a great food choice until I hit a brick wall. What you say a "brick wall" that means facing the stress of things that we must face. How many of face a brick wall on a daily basis and then do you allow this brick wall to drive the choices of the way you eat for the day? That is some food for thought! Such a great pun! :)
With that being said, I am going to be strong and hopefully I am able to keep my stressors at bay and thus allow myself to make the best choices for me for the remainder of the month and the following weeks prior to my weigh-in. I am going to find a way to remove myself from being a negative nelly to a positive reinforcement to myself. SO let me ask you what do you do to keep positive when you are facing negativity, and do you feel these helps you to win?
Yes, life is about winning and becoming a winner and working towards the goal at hand! What are some of ways this counter balances the negative and how do you use this to find the strength to help you over all hurdles you may be facing? I look forward to hearing your best way to beat and jump the hurdles of negativity. GO WIN FIGHT!
We all face challenges daily and we all must find inner strength to beat these as they come to us. Just know I am here for those who would like to let me know what you face and what you would like to do and or find a way to overcome!

Reach and Overcome: Self Assessment~
Reach and Overcome: Self Assessment~: Good Afternoon Friends & Family~ Well today is Sunday, and how many of you have completed your internal self assessment? I know man...
Self Assessment~
Good Afternoon Friends & Family~
Well today is Sunday, and how many of you have completed your internal self assessment? I know many of you are asking what is she talking about...is she having a crazy day? LOL! No, I am not having a crazy day, I am just trying to be realistic here! Losing weight is the hardest thing for many to stay true to as the world offers, this and that, and it can be confusing to those who are constantly battling the bulge.
What I mean my self assessment is do you analyze what is your short term goal vs. your long term achievement goal? For me I have been doing this low carb program now for over one year, and during this year time frame I lost around 45 pounds, and many of you are saying "Great job, Keep up the good work"....but for me my self assessment was you should have stayed true during the hardest days, the holidays, and when company stops by! Yes....yes...yes...it can be hard, albeit we only have ourselves to blame for the slowness of losing weight! Yep yep yep! I so do love those donuts, apples, oranges, grapes, french fries, and chips, oh well you get it!
However; for me my body does not process them like others might process them. My body has decided to store them as "Fat" products that my body may decide to burn later or just keep storing in the most obvious place (My Belly)!!! How many are facing the battle of the bulge located in the mid-section...it is OK to say "YES" that is me!. Once we have made the conscientious choice to accept our flaws as they are then and only then will we begin to slowly make changes necessary to win over the injustice of weight loss!
AS for me I do find the weekend more challenging than during the week. SO I have to decided today what is more important eating the foods, I love or winning at this game of chance? Being on a diet or low calorie, low carb whatever you feel like calling it, is a game of chance. Kinda like the lottery right, you play to win and sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. With losing weight you constantly have to be on. People say "Oh have a cheat day" the question then becomes can you only have one cheat day or does it continue to be 2-3 days of cheating? ONLY you can honestly answer that question and be totally honest with yourself. If you are dishonest then you only have yourself to blame for not losing any weight...how many are shaking their heads....yes! If you are shaking your head yes, then you are on the right path of changing your eating habits!
I will eventually post my beginning weight but the question is will that offer motivation OR will words of wisdom be your driving force!? Just remember we are all in this boat together! The choice is yours to make and only you!

Weekend~
Good Evening!
Well how many of you stayed true to what you had planned on your weekend food plan? It is more challenging when the weekend comes and staying true yourself and your food choices. Just remember to not beat yourself up, as the weekend is a challenge for almost everyone on a food plan. I know eating properly everyday is hard, and then the weekend comes, and there are football games, soccer games, basketball games all which include eating "pizza, pretzels, chips, burger fries and of course do not forget popcorn, and ice cream, and the ultimate hoagies"! How in the world are you so suppose to follow the low carb, the low calorie when all this goodness is around you? WELL you face the weekend demon head-on and make a decision on what you plan to indulge in.
I face this challenge every weekend when I know I am going to be out and about with family or friends, and I have to make the choice to eat healthy and find restaurants that fall into the program I am following and of course that means avoiding the fast food and burger joints unless they are able to make salads, and then pass on the fries! IT IS SO HARD I KNOW~~~!!!!
One thing I notice when I eat off my food program how I feel for that day and or the entire weekend, and then I realize that I must stay true to myself and make a decision; is eating this off the food program the best for me,and do I want to keep feeling this way? So the question to you is how do you feel when you eat off target, and is eating off target worth the ultimate goal you a working towards? Then how hard is for you to get back on track? DO you keep off track or do you jump back on track? These are things we face everyday and every weekend. Just remember you are not alone and know I am here for you. The main thing to remember is not beat yourself up as this will not change the past...just remember to move forward!

New Year New Life!
Good Morning Friends and Family!
Well today is January 2nd 2016, and the main question for you all is "how many of you made a new year's resolution?" My second question to you all; is this resolution one you can keep and will this impact your life in a major way? Here are some thoughtful questions you need to ask yourself before you begin this new journey. IF someone/something throws you a curveball. Will YOU take that as an opportunity to derail YOU from your goal, Or do you take that as an opportunity to prove to yourself you are strong and forge past the curveball and move forward? I know you all are saying "WHAT IS SHE TALKING ABOUT" I know you all too well, only because that is me too!
Lets just say my last weigh in did not go as plan, but I did not allow that to derail me on my goal!
For me I have been doing this lifestyle change for the past year oh yeah ONE year~ and let me tell it has been a long hard year, but I survived and even lost weight which was the main goal. The road was hard and had many hurdles for me to overcome in eating and enjoying what is important to me. For instance, for the past year, I did not eat "fruit, potatoes, and high carb foods" did I expire, well the answer is obviously no" I came out much better. How you ask? Well I no longer have "carb brain", I lost weight, and I am getting all my vitamins from the vegetables I have been eating. Leafy greens, green beans, lettuce, and a whole lot of "PROTEIN" which has increased my stamina! Do I have cheat days I would be telling a Fib if I said no! LOL. Do I allow multiple cheat days the answer is "no" why you ask; because this defeats the purpose of losing weight. Once you give up the treats you will be surprised how much you "no longer crave them" Oh YES I am telling you the truth!
I have learned to eat low carb treats: examples are cakes, cookies, and even chocolate candie! However; the choice is yours to make, no-one can force you to make the change or take the challenge, your inner-soul must make the decision to begin, and then stay focused on the goal at hand. Weight loss is one of the toughest challenges anyone person is going to partake in life. I know in my heart of hearts you will win over the injustice of weight loss and find the inner strength and peace you need to keep forging forward to WIN! JUST REMEMBER YOU ARE ALREADY A WINNER IN MY BOOK!
Please know I am here to listen and tell you about my journey and hopefully this will inspire you to join my trek this year! I am on a goal to lose 94 pounds this coming year. My goal for this month is 8 pounds, and that is not much, with 2 pounds per week! Who is going on this challenge with me?
Remember to take baby steps, and pass on the second helpings, then move on past the cake and ice cream, then eventually you will be able to skip the potatoes, and breads, and before you know it you have changed your eating habit and the first pounds will begin to melt off! OH YEAH that is what I am talking about! YOU GO~!!!
I have given myself a challenge and that is to not drink "DIET COKE" those who know me so well know that I love my "DIET COKE" and just so you all know I have not had one for almost 2 weeks, so I started the new year off right! LOL!!! Seriously since I have not had one it is amazing how different I feel. My sodium level is down and my body does feel better without all the syrup flavor! I am going to try really hard to meet my goal this year.....and to stay true to what my food plan is!
Love to you all who read and enjoy my blog! I would love to hear about your new years resolution and what is going to keep you motivated!
