Life

Good Evening friends and family!

It has been awhile since I have written to you all.  Life has daily changes and sometimes we just need to stop and reflect on our decisions we have made over the course of our life. Yes and sometimes we wonder why we took the path we did and why we did not take a different path, and then asking ourselves when I went down this path did this cause me to also make bad food choices? I would have to "say no"! Food choices come from our inner genetic make-up and this we truly have no control over.

Our DNA is what designs our inner and outer beauty, being skinny/overweight.  I personally am glad I am the person I am and I have learned many lessons over the course of my life and some of them I am still learning today. The day we quit learning is the day we give up the desire to live a fulling life. I know you are asking what does this have to do with weight loss! Well if you stop and think about it  really does affect us a lot!  How we view our lives helps us to define our food choices, and when we are out  it is easier to give into our favorite food choices, as use this thought process; this is going to help soothe our inner struggles.  The question then becomes does it really soothe our inner beast/ or does it define our weakness?

There have been many studies to show that overeating is now a disease and being obese is becoming an epidemic across the world. Many different factors play in the role and sometimes it is easier to eat "McDonald's, Wendy's Burger King" you get the idea then it is to go home and make a well balanced food plate.  I did find an I actually read the article on how to find foods that fall into a low carb setting and are good for at the same time. The most important thing to remember is that when you give up the processed sugar, remove the unwanted carbs; wheat bread and others, you will be amazed how your brain function changes and the cobwebs will be removed from your thought!

How can we use our inner strength to win over the injustice of weight loss and once we find the right pattern, how to continue to move forward, and to not keeping steps backward? What are some of the ways you move forward and when you take a step back, how do you discipline yourself?

God Speed!

Tortoise vs. Hare

Good Morning Friends and Family!

How many remember the story of the Tortoise and the Hare? I know you are asking what is she talking about? Well the hare went exceptionally fast and thought he would win the race  and he kept doing the race with that kind of thinking, and then the tortoise began the race and he continued on the slow and steady path and eventually became the winner of the race. The same holds true when you begin your weight loss journey.

For instance you start out fast with losing weight and then you begin to change your thought process by thinking I can begin to include back the food, or carbs, that I took out in the beginning and continue to move fast like the hare correct? WRONG, you will still need to continue on the slow pace similar to the tortoise!  Taking the slow and steady mantra will help you to find the right pace of losing weight even if you lose only 1-2 pounds per week as this will help you to lose more in the end.  Now you asking taking the tortoise path does this include eating food, that brought me to this plateau to begin with? ONLY you can answer that question. For instance you know you have done well with losing weight and then you take a day to include the food you have removed from your diet. The question then becomes how will you feel or is this the best choice for ME?  Only you can answer this question and decide to either be the TORTOISE or the HARE!

I am going to follow the slow steady pace for me and find the strength within myself to continue the race and find the way to win over the injustice of weight loss! Not everyone is going to be fast like the hare and some are going to slow like the tortoise. JUST remember that slow and steady wins the race!

God Speed!
